İpek Şenoğlu

Hello everyone!

I am Ipek Senoglu.

I am 43 years old and from Istanbul, Türkiye.

I will be writing for The Best Magazine monthly.

I am an ex professional tennis player, a current mom and +40 ITF Masters tennis player.

I am also a professional speaker for about the last 10 years and love to talk about subjects like ‘What is Success?’, ‘Dynamics of a Team’, ‘Importance of Adapta on in private and business life’ and ‘Being a Woman in Men’s’ World’.

I hope to be writing about some fun and interesting subjects in my corner in The Best.

I stopped playing on the pro tour in 2012.

Editor’s note: İpek Şenoğlu (born June 8, 1979, in Eskişehir), nicknamed İpek. She was the first Turk ever to play in a qualifying tournament for a Grand Slam event.

Incredible but true. İpek played tennis at 39 weeks pregnant! Many people would say it is quite hard to play tennis when you are waiting for a child.

Senoglu, created history at the 2004 Wimbledon Championships by entering the qualifying draw for the women’s doubles event. She became the first player ever from Turkey to play in the qualifying draw for a Grand Slam tournament. A former WTA Top-60 doubles player, Senoglu retired from professional tennis in 2012.
